We are excited to announced the continued expansion of its cutting‑edge, multi‑gig XGS‑PON fiber network across Ohio, delivering internet speeds up to 6 gigabits to residents and businesses in Grove City and Marysville. We will extend service to approximately 17,600 homes and businesses in Grove City and 15,000 homes and businesses in Marysville, with construction scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2026.
As the leading provider of fiber‑based services in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, we have invested more than $1.5 billion to build and enhance our Midwest fiber network. With this latest expansion, we will continue our mission to deliver future-proof connectivity, enabling communities to compete, grow, and thrive in an increasingly digital economy.
Building on this strong foundation, we now deliver fiber internet, TV, and phone service to nearly 100 percent of business and single-family home addresses in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. We are expanding to 100 percent Fiber-to-the-Home network into communities throughout Ohio, including Fayette, Franklin, Montgomery, Greene, and Union counties. Most recently, we partnered with the City of Dublin to bring fiber to approximately 17,000 addresses.
Gigabit‑speed internet is no longer a luxury – it is essential infrastructure. Our 100 percent fiber network delivers symmetrical upload and download speeds, ultra-low latency, and speeds up to 6 gigabits, supporting everything from streaming, remote work and e‑commerce to telehealth and other high‑bandwidth applications that residents and businesses rely on every day.
“Gigabit connectivity is a critical service for residents and businesses, and an important part of economic development efforts focused on business retention and attraction,” said Greg Wheeler, Chief Operating Officer of altafiber. “We are excited to partner with Grove City and Marysville on these fiber builds that will support connectivity for thousands of Ohio residents and businesses.”
