Bell Charitable Foundation Awards $150,000 in Grants

The Bell Charitable Foundation (BCF) is excited to announce that six organizations have been selected to receive a round of grants that total $150,000. This latest grant cycle focused on the Health & Wellbeing and Technology pillars. 

Grant recipients are based in Greater Cincinnati/Dayton/Northern Kentucky and Hawaii. Organizations funded in this round of grant making are:

Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky – A trauma-informed healthcare organization focused on creating holistic partnerships for health and wellness that are inclusive, innovative, and inspiring.   Funding PATH Scholarships for MSW students to expand the mental health workforce.

Dayton Equity Center – Serves individuals and communities by providing access to resources, education, and support. They believe in the power of economic & social mobility to transform lives and build a brighter future for everyone. Funding will support digital skills training and tech upgrades to bridge the digital divide.

Gateway Community & Technical College –  Engages, connects, and inspires all students through education to successfully champion this region’s competitive workforce and improve their quality of life. Funding will enhance student mental health services and emergency support.

Lighthouse Youth Services –  Provides a wide range of services to help young people and families heal and grow. Whether it’s therapy, residential treatment, foster care, emergency shelter, or housing, every young person receives personalized care and unconditional support to thrive. Funding will help with expanding school-based behavioral health services for youth and families.

Dynamic Healing Center (HI) –  Dedicated to fostering hope and healing within a culturally sensitive and family-oriented environment. Their mission is to uplift individuals, children, and families by delivering a spectrum of supportive services designed to enhance self-esteem and personal development.   Funding will help with expanding the semi-independent living program for adults with severe mental illness.

Hui O Hauula (HI) –Strives to support the health, safety, educational, cultural, environmental, social, and economic resilience of Ko`olauloa communities on Oahu. Funding will help with advancing digital literacy and access in rural Native Hawaiian communities.

altafiber launched BCF in 2022. The Foundation focuses its grant making on initiatives that fall under four main pillars: Economic & Social Mobility, Health & Wellbeing, Technology, and Environmental Sustainability. Since its inception, BCF has awarded more than $1 million in grants.
