Connect More, Waste Less

Written by Olivia G. | Apr 1, 2025 6:25:11 PM

altafiber is pleased to announce our annual Electronic Waste Recycling Event on April 24-27 at the retail stores during business hours in Greater Cincinnati and Dayton as part of the company’s Earth Month celebration.

Our economy craves critical metals – let’s call them “technical nutrients” – to build the carbon-fighting solar panels and electric cars we need, and the work-and-lifestyle-sustaining electronics we want and enjoy.

Recycling re-makes e-waste into components and metals for the new tech we love.

  • It promotes a circular economy where materials are used and reused, avoiding landfills.
  • It reduces tech costs and promotes sustainability in product production.
  •  All e-waste collected goes to our Responsible Recycling (R2) certified partner,
a high environmental and safety standard

What E-Waste is NOT Accepted at our Waste Recycling Event?

  • Televisions
  • Batteries
  • Appliances
  • Any hazardous waste

Important note: All retail locations are participating. Dayton and Lebanon locations are only open April 24-25.

And stay tuned this month leading up to Earth Day, we highlight, our responsible recycling practices and opportunities in our business with videos and posts about:

  • Our partnerships reclaiming critical metals from our network by recovering and recycling telecom cables
  • Our in-house refurbishment process, which gives functional network equipment the longest practical service life
  • Our process for recycling 100% of our electronics waste (e-waste) into next-generation IT products via Responsible Recycling (R2) certified partners
