This Veterans Day, altafiber proudly joined the Gala of Hope’s Defense Advisory Group in supporting heroes right here in the Dayton region. As part of our ongoing commitment to the communities we serve, especially those who have served us, we opened our Dayton retail store to welcome more than 50 leaders across the defense and military community for a special volunteer activation.

Together with the Gala of Hope, we assembled and delivered 100 “Boxes of Hope” to local Veterans currently undergoing cancer treatment. These care packages provide meaningful assistance to Veterans facing one of life’s toughest battles while offering food support, essential household items, and transportation assistance to ensure they can access treatment without added worry.

Each delivery represents more than a box - it represents dignity, care, and community standing behind those who have sacrificed for our freedoms.

This effort was made possible through the leadership and passion of VALOR, altafiber’s Veteran and Veterans supporters Employee Resource Group (ERG). VALOR members led packing efforts, participated in community outreach, and spent time connecting with those who protect and defend our nation. 

We are honored to stand with the Gala of Hope and the Dayton defense community. Supporting Veterans on their cancer journey is aligned with altafiber’s mission to build a brighter, more connected future for everyone, including those who have given so much for us.
