# Memorial Day Flag Placing

Last week, members of our veterans’ employee resource group and their families took part in the flag-placing event for Memorial Day. They placed flags on every service member’s grave at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Approximately 60 employees participated in the event this year. This event takes place twice a year, on Memorial Day weekend and Veterans Day weekend hosted by the employee resource group.
VALOR is a connected group of Veteran and Veterans supporters. They exist to champion Veterans' causes and build one another up through integrated networks of professional development and community outreach, reflective of altafiber’s mission and values.
